More ‘Mania Changes Made to the Show?
Was there another WrestleMania rewrite? WrestleLamia recently looked at why the WWE booked Brock Lesnar vs Omos and Bray Wyatt vs Bobby Lashley. Now, it appears another change has been made to this year’s WrestleMania.
Apparently, the WWE decided to go with an audible on its plans for the Women’s Tag Team Championship. You may recall previous reports that Damage-CTRL would defend the belts at “The Showcase of the Immortals.”
Instead, Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky dropped the belts to Lita and Becky Lynch on the 27 February RAW. Dave Meltzer discussed this on Wrestling Observer Radio:
“This was not the WrestleMania match. This was a change in the last week or two. Someone, either Triple H changed his mind, or someone changed his mind. One way or the other.”

Fans know who that certain someone is, and judging by these sudden changes to WrestleMania, there’s cause for concern that Mr. McMahon is getting a bit too involved.
There were rumors of a six-women match at WrestleMania. Becky Lynch, Lita, and Trish Stratus would team up to battle Damage-CTRL. Now that Becky and Lita are tag champions, will the trios match happen?
One possibility is that Damage-CTRL could interfere in a title defense by Lynch and Lita, leading to Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey winning the belts. This could set things up for the aforementioned trios match.
