It looks like more WWE talent could be shown the door.
This year, WWE drastically altered their approach to recruiting new talent to NXT 2.0. WWE have been recruiting collegiate athletes, and others from outside the world of pro wrestling. These new trainees have six months to show improvement, or they risk being released.
On the latest Bryan & Vinny & Craig Show, Bryan Alvarez discussed how WWE recently completed their six-month review of new talent, and some familiar names could soon be let go. Alvarez stated:
“You know what I heard today? I don’t have all of the details, but with NXT 2.0 they got the new deal where you got six months to get better in this sh*tty program here. Who in the world could possibly get better in six months working no shows and just doing horrible stuff on television? But every six months, they evaluate you, and if you aren’t getting better then [you’re] done for and apparently they’ve made some evaluations including some names you would know. So we might get some changes coming to NXT 2.0….not a cancellation, some people might be cancelled”. – H/T – Ringside News
This will likely be a nervous time for talent down in the Performance Center, and we were at Wrestlelamia will keep you posted with any developments.
