WWE CEO Nick Khan Discusses Whether McAfee Will Pop In
Will Pat McAfee appear at WrestleMania? while it appears Mr. McMahon will be at WrestleMania, what about popular sports personality Pat McAfee? McAfee was last seen at the Royal Rumble where fans gave him a wild reception.
Since then, the WWE Universe has asked whether Pat intends to return to color commentary on SmackDown. Pat’s work with Michael Cole was well-received. Unfortunately for Cole and the WWE, McAfee took time off when he was hired by ESPN College Gameday
Recently, WWE CEO Nick Khan told wrestling fans to expect some surprises at ‘Mania.Does this mean Pat will pop in? Not according to Khan, who said:
“We have no plans to have him there this weekend.”

Khan was on The Marchand & Ourand Sports Media Podcast when McAfee’s name came up.
Khan praised McAfee’s accomplishments including his popular sports talk show and his ability to connect with “a young diverse audience.” Khan noted:
“…he’ll determine, ultimately, where he wants his home to be and our hope is that he does more with us.”

You may recall rumors that McAfee is waiting to see whether the WWE is sold (and who buys it) before he’ll decide on returning to color commentary. However, McAfee also recently tweeted:
This could be a swerve by Nick Khan. However, as McAfee pointed out, he has plenty of projects and personal matters to keep him busy.
