Two-Time Hall of Famer Discusses Just When He Was Informed
Wondering when Booker T was booked in the 2023 Rumble? The two-time WWE Hall of Famer recently revealed the timing. You might not believe just how little time he had to prepare.
“The Master of the Spinaroonie” discussed the matter during his Hall of Fame podcast:
“I was sitting at the table at the Kickoff show and I got a text message and it was the invite telling me, ‘Book, you’re in the Rumble’ and me, I’m old school dog, I’m old school. I went down in a Winnebago, right? So something told me, bring your gear, alright? Make sure you’re ready just so you don’t have to get ready or stay ready and boom, there it was. The text message came through and I said, okay, here we go.”

Booker kayfabed his performance, saying he thinks he would have done better if he’d had time to warm up and prepare for the match. Regardless, fans were happy to see King Booker.
Booker added that he thinks he was asked to fill in for an injured Rey Mysterio. Rumor has it that Rey Rey was hurt during his 27 January SmackDown match against Karrion Kross.
