What’s Austin Theory’s future looking like? Does the WWE still have big plans for Austin Theory? Is the former Mr. Money in the Bank stuck in a rut?
Fans skeptical following Vince’s departure and Theory’s failed Money in the Bank cash-in have noticed a push for the current United States champion. Nonetheless, is this a short-term push or something else?
According to Dave Meltzer, the WWE still has big plans for Theory, noting Austin’s upcoming WrestleMania match with John Cena (rumored but not confirmed) is just the beginning:
”Austin Theory vs. John Cena for the U.S. title. Theory is clearly a major project to be a top guy for a long time.”

Theory recently defeated Edge on RAW, snapping Edge’s 500-plus day streak of not being pinned. “A-Town” also successfully defended the United States Championship in a hellacious Elimination Chamber Match.
Austin has always been considered a top prospect but things looked dicey when Vince McMahon retired. Some fans questioned whether Theory would still receive the big push he enjoyed with McMahon running creative.
Thankfully for Theory and his fans, he’s experienced a renewed push. The WWE repackaged him after his failed Money in the Bank cash-in. Theory has more of an edge and seems more competitive than before.
