Judge Dismisses XFL Lawsuit
Good news for Vince McMahon as his XFL lawsuit has been dismissed. The lawsuit between former XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck and Vince McMahon was settled out of court which means the suit is officially over with this court ruling.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson provided the details on the case:
The Oliver Luck vs. Vince McMahon lawsuit was officially dismissed with prejudice on 6/29 in the United States District Court of Connecticut. The ruling from the judge noted each party will bearing their own costs and fees. The two sides came to a confidential settlement.

The lawsuit stemmed from McMahon firing Luck just days after the XFL folded in 2020 following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Wrestling Inc.’s Ross Berman summed things up nicely with the following:
Luck sued McMahon and the XFL for wrongful termination and sought $24 million in unpaid financial compensation. This led to McMahon filing a countersuit, saying that the XFL terminated Luck “for cause,” saying Luck violated the league’s policy against hiring players with off-field controversies after signimng former NFL Wide Receiver Antonio Callaway, who was cited for marijuana possession in 2018.

Vince McMahon Lawsuit Dismissed: Vince’s Strategy
Some observers believe McMahon settled the lawsuit so he can focus on the current hush-money scandal hanging over his head. McMahon certainly has enough to deal with as that case goes on but as Dave Meltzer recently observed, some pundits believe Vince will emerge relatively unscathed from his latest escapades.
