Should Fans Expect Big Things for Post-SummerSlam Show?
Is Triple H loading up tonight’s RAW? That’s the rumor making the rounds as the WWE Universe still basks in the afterglow of Saturday’s well-received SummerSlam premium event.
The stories began this afternoon with a number of news sites reporting that big things will happen on RAW tonight.
If this story pans out, it suggests that Triple H is relying on classic booking tactics as seen at SummerSlam such as surprise returns such as Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky, turns (Becky Lynch), and action-packed main events (Reigns vs Lesnar).
Triple H Loading Up RAW?
We’ve already heard rumors that Naomi and Sasha Banks could be back tonight but even if that doesn’t happen, there’s an excitement in the air about tonight’s show.
Tonight will be another example: using the momentum from a well-received pay-per-view to try and build further interest in the product by providing exciting matches and storylines.
Fans will likely be tuning in to see what Bayley and her new faction are up to and also to see whether anyone else returns.
The WWE Universe could even see a big announcement concerning the brand split, current titles, or something new to capture the fans’ imagination.
One of the WWE’s problems over the last decade has been its inability to capitalize on fan momentum and bring back lapsed fans or transform RAW or SmackDown into destination television.
Triple H needs to build RAW back up, especially with Monday Night Football returning in roughly a month.
