Cody Rhodes Invites NFL GOAT to Come to the WWE
Tom Brady receives a WWE invitation from none other than Cody Rhodes. Brady, who recently announced he’s retiring from football could be heading to the WWE; at least if Rhodes gets his way.
“The American Nightmare” appeared on The Bump discussing Brady’s NFL exit. Rhodes added:
I was very shocked to see that [Brady had retired], not shocked as well because time comes for us all,” Rhodes said. “Tom Brady needs to maybe find his way to WrestleMania, maybe find his way anywhere WWE, Tom, live it up now. There might be a future here.”

It remains to be seen whether Brady will stay retired. Nevertheless, that should have no bearing on a WWE appearance right now. While the NFL has a clause that keeps active players from participating in wrestling during the off-season, Brady is no longer an active player.
Cody Rhodes sounds like a huge Tom Brady fan, calling him an inspiration. Brady’s presence by Cody’s side during his title chase could add some mainstream publicity. It could also add some drama to Cody’s quest to become the first member of his family to win a world championship.
The WWE would likely be ready to throw some serious cash at Tom if he opted to appear at this year’s “Showcase of the Immortals.”
