News on Cody Rhodes, Edge, and Chris Masters Returning
Are three WWE returns coming soon? The WWE Universe has seen return after return, including Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky, Bray Wyatt, Johnny Gargano, Dexter Lumis, and recently, Bronson Reed. Let’s look at three returns, including one former WWE Superstar who is hinting at a Royal Rumble appearance.
Cody Rhodes Return
Some interesting news concerning Cody Rhodes as Fightful reports Cody (or someone with an uncanny resemblance to “The American Nightmare”) was spotted in Los Angeles with a variety of other Superstars.
Sportskeeda’s Akash Dakhite commented on the story, noting Cody and The Miz were there filming content for the WWE’s 2K23 video game.
While there has been speculation Rhodes could return at The Royal Rumble, some fans think the WWE may have him appear on the 2 January RAW. Cody’s nemesis Seth Rollins is challenging Austin Theory for the United States Championship that night. Might Cody interfere in the match?
Edge Return Rumor
Xero News reports that “their sources” noted Edge is booked for a return at February’s Elimination Chamber PLE. This is at odds with other reports that Edge will return at The Royal Rumble. Rumor has it Edge will compete in a Hell in a Cell Match there against Finn Balor.
Edge has been out since losing an “I Quit” Match at Extreme Rules.
Chris Master Appearing at Royal Rumble
It looks like former WWE Superstar Chris Masters is at it again, teasing an appearance at the 2023 Royal Rumble. Masters has been working in the indie circuit and the National Wrestling Alliance. He tweeted a video of a Rumble-like countdown.
