Has “The Tribal Chief” Lost Control of His Family?
The Bloodline continues crumbling, as seen by tonight’s episode of SmackDown. Roman Reigns’ efforts to bring Jey Uso back into the fold failed. Not only that but Reigns was unable to get rid of his Sami Zayn problem. Sami battled Solo Sikoa in the main event and while Solo won, he failed to take out Zayn.
It was a bad night from start to finish. “The Tribal Chief” tried getting into the head of his WrestleMania opponent Cody Rhodes but it backfired. Reigns told Cody that Dusty never talked about him when he spent time with Roman. Roman said he not only learned from his family but the Rhodes family.
Cody said that Roman’s words motivated him even more. If Roman is the son Dusty always wanted, it changes everything. Cody said it’s a necessity that he finishes his story. Rhodes shook Roman’s hand, with Reigns looking uncertain.
Reigns had another headache after Jimmy Uso told him that Jey doesn’t want anything to do with him. Roman blamed Sami Zayn for getting into Jey’s head and told Jimmy to make sure Solo ends Sami tonight.
Solo battled Sami in a heated battle as Zayn continued his quest to take down The Bloodline. Backstage, Roman watched as Zayn took the undefeated Sikoa to the edge of defeat. Only the intervention of Jimmy Uso saved the day. Sikoa hit the Samoan Spike on a distracted Zayn, covering him for the win.
As planned, Jimmy and Solo delivered a post-match beating. They placed a steel chair around Sami’s head and Solo prepared to deliver the coup de grace. Jimmy interrupted, telling his brother he wanted to deliver the final blow.
However, this pause allowed Sami to recover and he threw the chair at Sikoa. He followed up with a Helluva Kick before bailing out of the ring. Needless to say, Roman Reigns wasn’t happy.
“The Head of the Table” told Paul Heyman if Jey Uso doesn’t return to the fold, he’s holding Jimmy Uso responsible. At this rate, fans have to wonder whether The Bloodline will exist by WrestleMania XXXIX.
