However, an appearance hasn’t been ruled out.
There has been speculation that Stone Cold Steve Austin may be wrestling at WrestleMania 39 in April.
A number of matches were said to be pitched directly to Austin, including a match against Roman Reigns and a match against Brock Lesnar.
However, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Austin won’t be wrestling on the show, but this doesn’t mean that he won’t be appearing on the show in some capacity:
“As far as Austin goes, Steve might be at the show – I wouldn’t be surprised at all – he might do something on the show, but he did in fact turn down wrestling at the show. He was offered Lesnar, he was offered Roman Reigns, he could have named his opponent if he wanted to do it with anybody else. But he did not choose to wrestle on the show”.
