Several wrestlers exit IMPACT Wrestling, leaving fans to wonder what’s next for them. Could Triple H hire one or more of them? Will the wrestlers check out other options? Let’s see who departed the promotion and what could be next for them.
It looks like Triple H will have another chance to break out the checkbook as There appear to be several IMPACT Wrestling stars who are now free agents. PWInsider reports that Mike Taven, Mike Bennett, Maria Kanellis, and Vincent Marseglia are now finished working for IMPACT. (H/T Cageside Seats)
It’s unknown when they are available to wrestle elsewhere but based on what fans have seen of “The Game” bringing back Superstars who fizzled under Vince McMahon, could Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis be headed back to Titanland?
Several Wrestlers Exit IMPACT Wrestling
Maria Kanellis had an interesting run in the WWE during the Ruthless Aggression Era. She parlayed her role in the 2004 Diva Search into a WWE career, despite losing the competition. From there, Maria became a popular personality, playing an airhead.
Kanellis’ 2008 Playboy pictorial proved popular with fans but the WWE released her in 2010. Maria reinvented herself as a heel manager and captured IMPACT’s Knockouts Championship, adding layers to her as a performer.
Mike Bennett’s success in Ring of Honor and IMPACT Wrestling had fans looking forward to his run in the WWE but personal demons sidetracked him initially. When Bennett returned from rehab, his WWE career never went anywhere, despite him working alongside his wife Maria Kanellis.
All four wrestlers competed in IMPACT as part of the heel faction “Honor No More.” Mike Bennett and Mike Taven have teamed up before and Maria Kanellis has speculated on the three of them working together elsewhere.
Fans have seen Triple H focus on factions more recently so perhaps this quartet will all end up in the WWE.
