Matt May Have Been Hurt at TripleMania Show
There’s a rumor that Matt Hardy injured his knee at last weekend’s TripleMania event when he wrestled John Hennigan (aka former WWE Superstar John Morrison). According to a report from Fightful Select :
Matt Hardy also was banged up after his AAA TripleMania match. We’re told that he had some major swelling on his knee, but haven’t heard if there’s any update or about the severity.

If Hardy is hurt, it’s more bad news for AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling as their Forbidden Door pay-per-view is just days away. It’s unknown if Matt would have wrestled (there are only six matches currently booked for the show) but it’s likely as he would bring additional star power to the show.
Forbidden Door does look to have some promising bouts but the recent injury to AEW World Champion CM Punk means another top name will be missing from this first-time collaboration between AEW and New Japan.
Keep in mind that the rumor that Matt Hardy is injured hasn’t been confirmed. As always, WrestleLamia will keep you up-to-date on the latest and greatest concerning Matt.
Unfortunately, Matt may not be the only person who will be unable to compete as rumor has it Bryan Danielson will not be cleared to compete for the 26 June event.
