Thumbtacks were previously used at Extreme Rules 2016.
One of the biggest matches set for Extreme Rules is the Extreme Rules match between Ronda Rousey and Liv Morgan. The match is set to be for the SmackDown Women’s Title and looks to put an end to their extended feud.
According to Rousey, she would like to bring back Thumbtacks to use in the match. Discussing the match on her YouTube channel, Rousey revealed:
“Definitely thumbtacks.. But, I feel like there’s a couple weapons that are going to be unique to me and Liv… I do love me some kendo stick; kendo stick is kind of me and a Charlotte thing but I’ll bust out the double kendo stick and make it my thing, you know what I mean?”
Thumbtacks were last used in WWE back in 2016, when Dean Ambrose took on Chris Jericho in an Ambrose Asylum match.
