NXT Superstar Dispels Rumored Reason She Missed SmackDown
Nikkita Lyons clarifies her absence from the 19 August SmackDown, dispelling a rumor about why she couldn’t make it.
Nikkita Lyons was originally scheduled to team with Zoey Stark to take on Natalya and Sonya Deville in the Women’s Tag Team Tournament bout on the 19 August SmackDown but didn’t show up, leading to speculation about her absence.
Nikkita Lyons Clarifies Absence
While rumor had it that Lyons was unable to appear due to not being vaccinated against COVID-19, she recently tweeted:
Lyons’ tag partner Zoey Stark was reportedly unable to compete due to an injury she suffered at NXT Heatwave.
As fans know, former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Toxic Attraction substituted for the Lyons/Stark team, defeating Natalya and Sonya to advance to the tournament’s second round.
Lyons has quickly risen in the ranks on NXT and her fans believe she is on the fast track to the main roster.
