The B.O.A.T. is on the Road to Recovery
Excellent news for fans of “The Queen of Harts” as Natalya undergoes surgery for a dislocated nose, with Nattie updating fans on her condition. Natalya tweeted:
According to POST Wrestling, the WWE incorporated Natalya’s recent SmackDown match against Shayna Baszler to explain her surgery:
POST Wrestling was told by multiple people with knowledge of the situation that the strike to the face on SmackDown was a cover reason as Natalya was due to have nasal surgery.The match was taped a week prior on October 28th as part of the SmackDown double taping and did not air until this past Friday.

While it’s unfortunate that Nattie had to have nasal surgery, it was a good move to use it as part of a storyline. The WWE’s past regime had an annoying habit of wrestlers disappearing from TV for personal reasons (such as marriages, vacations, and surgeries) without any storyline rationale.
This has thankfully changed. Recently, the WWE wrote SmackDown Superstar Sheamus off TV with a kayfabe injury at the hands of The Bloodline in order to give “The Celtic Warrior” time to get married.
