Moxley Falls to “The Power of the Punch”
History has been made at Full Gear as MJF wins the AEW World Heavyweight Championship after clobbering Jon Moxley with William Regal’s brass knuckles.
The match saw MJF cheered and Moxley booed as MJF struggled to overcome a knee injury suffered early on in the match. MJF delivered a Tombstone Piledriver to Moxley during the match on the mat apron, apparently hurting his knee.

Moxley capitalized, dominating the match even more than he did at the start. Just when Moxley looked to be closing in for the kill, MJF pulled the referee into Moxley. MJF went for the Dynamite Diamond Ring but Moxley’s advisor William Regal came out, admonishing MJF not to use the ring. MJF threw the ring away then flipped Regal off.
Moxley promptly locked in the Bulldog Choke on MJF, but the substitute referee went down after an elbow to the face, with MJF tapping but no one there to make the count.
MJF Wins AEW World Championship
Regal told Moxley to wake up the other referee and as the champion did, Regal slid a pair of brass knuckles to MJF, with the challenger becoming the champion after punching Moxley in the mush with the knucks.
Wait, what just happened?
