“The Salt of the Earth” Makes Surprise Appearance
MJF returns to AEW after a lengthy absence, setting the stage for a rematch against CM Punk and this time, a match for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship. Maxwell Jacob Friedman showed up at All Out, his first AEW appearance since the Dynamite after Double or Nothing.
Wrestling’s “Salt of the Earth” revealed himself at the end of the show, right after CM Punk defeated Jon Moxley to regain the AEW World Heavyweight Championship. Punk’s celebration was cut short when a masked man put on his trademark scarf and gave CM Punk the ‘ol hairy eyeball.
Earlier during the show, a masked man entered the AEW Casino Ladder Match as its wild card entrant (aka The Joker). Prior to this, several masked man interrupted the match with Stokely Hathaway retrieving the casino chip at the top of the ladder and handing it to The Joker.
MJF Returns to AEW
While The Joker’s identity was not revealed, fans immediately began speculating that it might be MJF and they were right.
Now that MJF is back, it will be interesting to see what his alliance with Stokely Hathaway is all about and when he intends to challenge CM Punk for AEW’s top title.
