Spoiler on New AEW Champion’s Next Opponent
Jon Moxley’s next opponent is…A possible spoiler awaits on who the newly crowned AEW World Champion will face next so be prepared.
While fans know it’s not CM Punk (who may never return to an AEW ring), it looks like fans have an idea who it could be. If you’re looking to avoid a spoiler, it’s time to bail.
Spoiler time as it looks like AEW already has Moxley’s first opponent lined up. According to Wrestling News, “Hangman” Adam Page won the “Golden Ticket” Battle Royal at Night Two of Grand Slam, earning a world championship match which he’ll get on the 18 October episode of Dynamite. Congratulations to Mox on his big win over his fellow Blackpool Combat Club teammate and good luck to “Hangman” Page.
Jon Moxley’s Next Opponent Is…
One name that shouldn’t be overlooked is Maxwell Jacob Friedman. While MJF holds the Casino Ladder Match Chip he won at All Out, he didn’t use it to get a match against Moxley after his win at Grand Slam.
Much like the Money in the Bank contract, the chip allows MJF to get a world championship match at the time of his choosing during any sanctioned AEW match. Who is to say that MJF won’t use his chip before 18 October.
All it would take would be for MJF to call in the help of Stokely Hathaway’s heel faction, The Firm (not to be confused with the 1980s rock supergroup or the 1990s rap group) and have them soften Mox up for an easy win.
