There are still rumours that Gargano could return at SummerSlam.
Despite rumours that Johnny Gargano could be returning to WWE, the former NXT Champion appeared on last night’s Impact Wrestling on AXS TV.
Gargano was shown in a video package to promote Alex Shelley’s match with Josh Alexander at the PPV next month. Gargano and Shelley have been friends for years.
This appearance marked Gargano’s first TV appearance since his WWE exit in December. The appearance appears to be a one-off, and there no indication (at this stage) that Gargano will do any more work with the promotion.
There are rumours that Gargano could return to WWE as soon as tomorrow night. Seth Rollins is without an opponent, and there is some hope from fans that Triple H could convince Gargano to come back.
