Trial Postponed Again as Plea Deal Appears Possible
Is the Jeff Hardy DUI case close to a plea? That could be the case as Jeff’s pretrial hearing was postponed again.
PWInsider is reporting:
Yesterday, his [Jeff Hardy’s] attorney filed a motion asking for the hearing to be pushed back, which prosecutors agreed to. In the mottion, it was noted that Hardy’s attorneys “recently provided extensive mitigation materials to the counsel for the State” and that “The parties require additional time to negotiate a potential pretrial resolution”, so it would appear that the two sides are working on a plea agreement that would prevent a trial. The court signed off on the motion yesterday, pushing Hardy’s pre-trial hearing back to 11/17

Jeff Hardy DUI Case Close to Plea?
Analysis: Jeff’s legal team is likely doing whatever it can to minimize or eliminate any term of imprisonment. One of the biggest obstacles is Jeff’s past DUI arrests and court dates, which could lead to a judge imposing a harsher sentence.
While Hardy’s alleged DUI did not involve anyone else, a judge may want to take Hardy off the road to reduce the chance of a similar incident as allegedly caused by Tammy Sytch.
