It’s official! The Usos make WWE history by breaking The New Day’s record as the longest-reigning tag team champions in WWE history.
The Usos broke the New Day’s incredible record of 483 days as champions, surpassing them on 14 November 2022. Jey and Jimmy turned back Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston’s bid to stop them on the 11 November edition of SmackDown.
The Usos have had some great title matches ever since defeating Rey and Dominik Mysterio for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at 2021’s Money in the Bank event.
Jey and Jimmy have had some fantastic rivalries including several matches against The Street Profits and The New Day, not to mention their title unification match against RAW Tag Team Champions RK-Bro (Randy Orton and Matt Riddle).

Although skeptics can argue that wrestling’s worked nature makes a record like this nothing noteworthy, the reality is that the WWE sees value in The Usos’ longevity as champs, much like they do with Roman Reigns as Undisputed Champion.
Now that the Usos have broken The New Day’s record, it will be interesting to see how much longer the WWE keeps the tag titles on them.
