Rumor Has It the Show Will Be Two Hours Long
Is AEW’s Saturday show premiering in June? Fans have heard rumors about a Saturday night show for months but nothing has been confirmed. Nonetheless, several news sites are reporting that the show will begin airing in June.
WrestleZone’s Matt Black is reporting:
WrestleZone has been informed that the new Saturday show will be called AEW Collision. This name might be familiar because the company recently applied to trademark the name back on February 20. As of now, the show is scheduled to air on Saturday nights starting June 17. Furthermore, it was noted AEW plans to air this new series on TNT in the 8-10 PM EST timeslot.

Wrestling News’ Andrew Ravens reports that Dave Meltzer confirmed the WrestleZone report on a recent Wrestling Observer Radio.
In addition, The Mat Men Wrestling Podcast’s Andrew Zarian is reporting:
“Here is what I understand. This show looks to be starting on June 17 in Chicago…A Saturday night show. I’m hearing it’s a two-hour show from 8-10. I’m hearing it’s a two-hour show from 8-10 [pm EST] on Saturdays. They may be preempted somedays I don’t know. That’s me interjecting based on how these things work. I also believe this is going to be on TNT. Multiple people I spoke to said probably on TNT. So that makes it even harder.”

Is Saturday Night All Right for Fighting?
WrestleLamia recently discussed the Saturday show and how AEW might split its roster. Rumor has it the company is considering this as a way to bring CM Punk back if there is still animosity between him and wrestlers such as The Elite. The idea would be for the aggrieved parties to wrestle on separate shows.
Dave Meltzer discussed the potential Saturday night show. Meltzer noted in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that a Saturday show will likely face stiff opposition from sports programming. In addition, it will likely be preempted due to sports programming.
There are many unknowns about this rumored show. For example, is AEW going to do a roster split? If not, will wrestlers be paid extra for working a second show?
