Dominik Gushes with Praise for All “Latino Heat” Did for Him
Dominik Mysterio praises Eddie Guerrero, thanking “Latino Heat” for all he did for him. This follows reports of Vickie and Shaul Guerrero being upset with comparisons between Dominik and the late, great Eddie.
Some wrestling fans remarked on Dominik’s resemblance to Eddie Guerrero. This led to heated responses from Eddie’s widow Vicki and their daughter, Shaul.
Dominik was recently interviewed by Wrestling Inc.’s Nick Hausman and he praised Eddie Guerrero for inspiring him to become a wrestler.
He even recalled the angle where Eddie claimed to be Dominik’s biological dad, leading to a Ladder Match at SummerSlam for custody of Dom Dom.
Dominik said he wasn’t sure at the time what would happen but that he wouldn’t have minded having to live with Eddie.
Respect for a True Legend
Dominik’s love and respect for “Latino Heat” was obvious as he recalled working in the custody storyline:
Knowing that I was a part of that and I got to work with him, that’s such a blessing man. He’s one of, if not the best to ever do it and I got to work with him as a kid. That’s so special and that’s something that now as a wrestler it’s something that I have a passion for. He means so much more now, and those moments that we had with him in the ring, I’ll cherish those forever because he’s one of the best and I would’ve loved to pick his brain or be in the ring with him today. The fact that I even had a chance to be in the ring with him back then as a kid is a blessing and I’m very thankful.”

The physical resemblances between Dominik and Eddie are obvious. However, Dominik’s cowardly heel act is something he has developed that is much different than Eddie’s heel persona.
The beauty of Dominik’s act is it has given him an opportunity to step out of his famous father’s shadow. It has also enabled him to succeed at a higher level despite being a smaller wrestler.
