Is Triple H Already Booking White?
Does the WWE have big plans for Jay White? White recently became a free agent. He could sign with the WWE, AEW, or even New Japan. White’s future is unknown.
Nonetheless, a recent report from WrestleVotes and GiveMeSport states Triple H and creative are hard at work on making potential storylines for prospective signees, including free agent Jay White:
“In the middle of January there was a decent-sized meeting which involved a lot of the creative team and marketing people. It was about perspective free agents, with people of all sorts being brought up. Jay was obviously on the list. I can tell you that they want him, they were hopeful that they could get him. They even started coming up with rough creative ideas to bring him in.”

As you may have heard, AEW would like to sign White. Currently, no one seems to know where the former New Japan Pro Wrestling sensation is headed next.
The WWE is looking at other free agents besides White. There’s also talk of the WWE looking to sign Kenny Omega. Omega may already be a free agent which means he could sign at any time.
It is encouraging to hear the WWE is working on what to do with prospective hires before they sign them, a reminder that long-term planning has become an integral part of the WWE’s storytelling process.
