Did Vince Bamboozle the WWE?

Editorial: WWE Got Got By Vinnie Mac?

Did Vince McMahon bamboozle the WWE? You’re probably asking yourself this if you’ve been keeping up with Vince’s thunderous takeover of power. Let’s take a look at what’s happened and why Vince’s well-timed return might be one of the biggest masterstrokes in business history.

As rumors continue that the WWE is being sold to Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), a startling story is coming out that Vince McMahon has been working on a potential deal ever since he retired from the WWE last summer. Dave Meltzer discussed the situation on Wrestling Observer Radio:

One thing that we do know is that ever since Vince was ousted, he did open up talks with the Saudis. I mean, this didn’t come in the last week. His coming back was obviously to close the deal, that, perhaps the people who are running the company, for all the reasons we were talking about, probably felt very uneasy about the deal closing because they are, perhaps, looking out for the long term future of their company and their own asses too.

As WrestleLamia noted at our website when the news of Vince returning to his seat as Executive Chairman broke, McMahon moved at lightning speed, hoping to accomplish a fait accompli. If the WWE is sold, that seems to be the case. Meltzer added to his take on things:

So, that’s another layer. Obviously, the people on the board, Nick Khan and Triple H, who voted one way before [to keep Vince McMahon out of the Board of Directors] and they voted another way today.

From Retirement to Restoration: Vince is Back in the Driver’s Seat

If this report of Vince going to work on a sale following his retirement is accurate, it raises the question of whether Vince McMahon pulled a fast one on the WWE’s power structure.

There has been speculation that Vince’s “retirement” was forced upon him in some sort of power play behind the scenes. This has never been confirmed but the sudden return of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon after they had previously appeared to have lost any authority in the company led to questions about why they were suddenly on top of the WWE food chain.

Stephanie’s abrupt exit on 10 January following Vince’s return as Executive Chairman should raise eyebrows. Assuming Vince was ousted, it’s not a stretch to hypothesize that he showed why he’s still one of the sharpest minds in the business.

Power Play By Vince or Inside Job?

On the other hand, those who gained control of the WWE may somehow be working with Vince. What if Vince’s so-called opponents created a clever cover story of a power play? What if everyone is working at the same goal—the fast sale of the WWE to a big-money buyer that allows things to move quickly to Vince’s best interest.

Critics may argue that the WWE’s board told Vince flat-out that they didn’t want him back in control. However, what if this was the board covering its collective ass? What if the board knew full well that Vince McMahon’s voting shares allowed him to proceed as he chooses.

Google pays an hourly wage of $100. My most recent online earnings for a 40-hour work week were $3500. According to my younger brother’s acquaintance, he works roughly 30 hours each week and earns an average of $12,265. I’m in awe of how vde-02 simple things once were.

I make more then $12,000 a month online. It’s enough to comfortably replace my old jobs income, especially considering I only work about 11 to 12 hours a week from home. I was amazed how easy it was after I tried it…
:)AND GOOD LUCK.:)

I get paid over 200$ per hour working from home with 2 kids at home. I never thought I’d be able to do it but my best friend earns over 10k a month doing this and she convinced me to try. The potential with this is endless. Heres what I’ve been doing.
