Former NXT Star Makes Cameo Appearance at End of RAW
Major props to the WWE for pulling off another surprise return, this time as former NXT Superstar Dexter Lumis arrives on RAW.
Lumis’ name was one of several possible returns but unlike previous returns, the WWE took a different approach to how Lumis was presented.
Earlier on RAW, the WWE showed security running backstage but it didn’t reveal what the threat was. Only later did it become apparent that a “fan” had been arrested at ringside.
It’s uncommon for the WWE to show fans being escorted out of the ring so this was an obvious angle. Nevertheless, it was an excellently executed one.
Sometimes, less is more and such was the case tonight.
