Punk is currently injured.
A ton of controversy has surrounded CM Punk since his brawl with The Elite following the All Out PPV.
Whilst The Elite were suspended for their involvement, the nature of Punk’s punishment was never disclosed.
With that being said, according to AEW President, Tony Khan, Punk has an office role in the company.
When exactly Punk ascended to this role was not revealed.
Khan would discuss this during an interview with Ariel Helwani. Khan stated:
“There’s a lot of people… you’d go, whatever their stuff is. I think there’s specific, even if they’re not working in an office job per se you’d go to like a Chris Jericho, Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley”.
Khan was then asked to clarify who in-fact was in an office position in the company, and this is when Khan revealed that Punk is amongst the names.
