Wrestler/Manager/Booker Speculates on Flair’s Next Foe
Did you hear about Charlotte Flair’s unlikely opponent? Charlotte Flair is coming back to the WWE soon (at least based on the recent hype videos for her and an advertisement for her at an upcoming SmackDown). However, who is “The Queen” going to work with when she returns from her kayfabe broken arm injury?
While Ronda Rousey (who broke Flair’s arm during their heated “I Quit” Match at WrestleMania: Backlash) seems like the obvious choice, there’s another name being thrown out—Bayley.
Former wrestler, booker, and WWE manager Dutch Mantell spoke on Smack Talk recently about Flair’s next foe:
“I think her [Bayley’s] next angle, her next opponent, going forward, will be Charlotte Flair. And if they hadn’t beaten the hell out of Lacey Evans like that, she would have been a great one to step up. If they wanted to get her over for Charlotte, a little more.”

Speaking of Lacey Evans, where has wrestling’s “Sassy Southern Belle” gone to? The WWE spent weeks building her return as a babyface only to turn her heel and vanish from WWE TV.
Charlotte Flair’s Unlikely Opponent
Analysis: WrestleLamia has heard some bizarre booking ideas (such as Ronda Rousey’s recent suggestion for booking Roman Reigns vs Logan Paul) but Dutch’s idea has some merit. Charlotte vs Bayley would deliver in the ring and fans might appreciate a heel vs heel battle.
However, would the fans get behind a babyface Flair? That would be a tough sell as not everyone in the WWE Universe has been fair to Flair.
Indeed, the problem with Charlotte Flair is that she has tremendous heat on her amongst some fans who feel the WWE books her too strongly and pushes her too hard.
