Will the AEW Galaxy See a Surprise Return or Debut?
Is a big debut coming at AEW Collision? First, fans will have to see whether the rumors of a third AEW TV show prove true. While it hasn’t been confirmed, many wrestling pundits believe it will be announced soon. Not only that but AEW apparently plans on making the debut episode extra special.
In addition to CM Punk anchoring the show, there is talk of AEW bringing in a big name to join Punk.
Dave Meltzer reported in the 1 May 2023 Wrestling Observer Newsletter that:
The show, believed to be called AEW Collision, as noted last week, is expected to debut on 6/17 with a show from 8-10 p.m. Eastern, from the United Center in Chicago, which would also be the return of C.M. Punk along with what is expected to be either another major name debut or return.

Who to Look for at Collision
Perhaps the biggest possible debut is Bill Goldberg. “Big Bad Bill” is looking to end his career on a high note with a memorable retirement match. However, is he looking to work anything but a retirement match? A Goldberg debut at Collision would be big but it likely wouldn’t have any long-term impact.
At this point, there aren’t believed to be many top free agents available for a debut. Rumor has it that Nick Aldis is working a limited deal in IMPACT Wrestling. Aldis is reportedly testing the waters in IMPACT before signing a long-term deal. Might the former NWA World Champion show up?
Another name is former New Japan Pro Wrestling ace Kota Ibushi. Word has it that Ibushi has ruled out the WWE (which means nothing as fans are used to hearing wrestlers say one thing and do another). However, Ibushi has also said he’s not interested in a full-time deal with AEW.
One wrestler who has been on the sidelines for some time is Miro. Could “The Redeemer” show up on Collision?
