Becky Lynch: “Shoulder Still Isn’t Feeling Right”

Becky Lynch: “Shoulder Still Isn’t Feeling Right” Is this comment from “The Man” cause for concern or a reminder that wrestlers are always working through nagging injuries?

Lynch’s in-ring return at Survivor Series: WarGames was a fantastic experience for fans and judging from her interview with Verge Magazine, a fantastic experience for her as well. However, the subject of Lynch’s shoulder injury came up during her chat.

However, “The Man” let everyone know that she’s still dealing with the shoulder injury that sidelined her. During the interview, she spoke about fighting in the WarGames Match and how she rose to the occasion:

“Truth be told, my shoulder still isn’t feeling right. So to say I was nervous is probably a bit of an understatement. But once you get out there, once you get in front of the crowd and you feel that energy, then you forget everything else. There’s not another feeling like it.”

Becky also discussed the match the WWE seems to be teasing for the future—Rhea Ripley vs Becky Lynch:

I think Rhea is one of the greatest female athletes that we’ve ever seen. I think she’s incredible. She is so young, so full of potential. I look at her and I go “well, that’s the future of the business and the business is in good hands.” She’s the future but I’m still the present. There can only be one Man around the place. If I have to put her in her place then I’ll put her in her place,”

A Lynch vs Ripley bout has WrestleMania moment written all over it.

In the meantime, Becky seems embroiled in a feud with Bayley and her faction Damage-CTRL. Damage-CTRL cost Becky her win during her 5 December RAW’s Triple Threat Match against Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss.

Analysis: As far as Becky’s shoulder goes, hopefully she’ll have the right mindset of protecting her long-term health over a short-term gain, either for her or the WWE. The WWE has plenty of top female stars on RAW, but it only has one “Man” and if Lynch needs to slow down, she should.
