Speculation About the Group’s Next Move
Are The Elite WWE bound? It’s a question being asked that seems like more than idle chatter. Let’s look at some factors in any decision the group makes about leaving or staying with AEW.
WrestleLamia recently discussed how Kenny Omega’s AEW deal could be over soon. The big “what if” here is how much time (if any) will be added to Omega’s contract.
While it’s believed Omega’s deal has expired or is about to, there’s debate over how much time the company could to “The Cleaner’s” contract due to him being out for months with various injuries.
In addition, it’s believed The Young Bucks’ (Nick and Matt Jackson) contracts will be over by the end of the year. Does this mean The Bucks are leaving AEW? No, but consider this information from Dave Meltzer, who noted in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter:
Part of this is because the feeling Omega and the Young Bucks have a good shot of sticking together. Barry Bloom has been Omega’s agent since his late 2018/early 2019 New Japan contract extended,

Whatever The Elite decides to do, it could see them do so together. Whether this means they’d stay in AEW, head to the WWE, or venture elsewhere is unknown. Wherever they go, expect them to command top dollar.
The WWE is Reportedly Eager to Sign AEW Talent
Another factor to consider is the WWE’s reported willingness to negotiate hard for AEW talent. Dave Meltzer discussed this on Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer also discussed WWE deals coming up:
A lot of key [AEW] deals are gonna be up this year, and WWE is gonna go hard at everyone good. Also, there’s gonna be a lot of WWE deals up and [Tony Khan] need to make the product, and the perception of the product, attractive enough where guys on the other side go, ‘they’re solid, they have an easier schedule, they’re financially stable, they’re doing good … but right now I don’t think the perception of WWE talent is to go there.

Bloom also represents FTR, whose AEW contracts are believed to expire in April. With talk the WWE will make some major-money offers to free agents, the company could see a big influx of talent from AEW.
