Wrestler Knows Time is Winding Down
With wrestlers reportedly requesting their releases from AEW, what should fans make of a top AEW star stating, “I know my days are numbered.”
If you’re wrestling great Sting, it’s just a case of knowing that you can’t beat Father Time (although if you’re “Nature Boy” Ric Flair, you can give him a low blow and wrestle a bit longer). The Stinger recently spoke with Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso, recalling the epic moment when rival wrestler The Great Muta helped him and Darby Allin out against The House of Black during an episode of Rampage:
“That was a moment. I had flashbacks when he stepped into the ring. Seeing him face to face, it took me back in time.”

“The Man Called Sting” talked about how Muta and him are closing out an era as they work their last matches:
“I know my days are numbered, so I’m trying to make the most out of the time left and give the fans everything I have before this wave comes into shore for good. I’m grateful that Muta was able to be here with me in the United States. That’s a memory I’m going to hold onto, and it signifies the end of our era. I’m looking forward to having one last grand hoorah with The Great Muta, especially in Japan.”

AEW Star: “My Days Are Numbered”
Sting and Muta had some fantastic matches in WCW in 1989 when they clashed over the WCW World Television Championship. Now, the two former opponents are scheduled to team up for a six-man match in Japan.
The wrestler once nicknamed “The Franchise” in WCW has surprised wrestling fans with some remarkable comebacks, including his run in TNA Wrestling in the mid-2000s and his appearances in the WWE in 2014-2015.
