Tony Khan Looking to Keep Three Main Eventers
AEW is concentrating on signing top stars to keep them in the company. This is good news for three main eventers in All Elite Wrestling. Reportedly, AEW is working hard to keep three of its founding wrestlers in the company
Dave Meltzer is reporting in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that:
AEW is working on signing the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega to new long-term deals well before they become free agents.

You may recall previous reports that the WWE is very interested in signing Kenny Omega. However, The Young Bucks are also on the company’s wishlist. However, Meltzer doesn’t know how the Bucks would fare in the WWE compared to AEW, commenting:
With the Bucks, while they may do well in WWE, it’s not guaranteed, and they will have a better schedule in AEW meaning more time with the family and also less matches and can do their style.

“Diamond” Dave discussed why Omega might do better in the WWE than the Bucks:
With Omega, he doesn’t have kids and he would likely get a major push and would have no end to having fresh opponents. It would also close the door to Japan that he’s waited years to re-open. But he did at least consider and have talks with WWE 2018-19 and wasn’t negative about WWE at all while making his choice to go to AEW.

It would be a major publicity coup for the WWE if Omega and/or The Young Bucks were to sign with them. Obviously, the WWE would have three great performers added to their roster but it would also reinforce the perception that the WWE is the place to be.
What Factors Could Affect a Jump to the WWE?
There are several factors that could affect this decision. Expect AEW and the WWE to offer top dollar to all three wrestlers. Just how much is the question.
It’s unknown if Omega and the Bucks would feel a certain obligation to stay with AEW since they played such a pivotal role in its founding. It’s also unknown how a hypothetical change in WWE ownership would affect contract offers.
Money would be no object should an entity such as the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund were to buy it. In that case, however, wrestlers might not want to work for a WWE being used for sportswashing.
