Reigns was officially pulled from Money in the Bank this week.
Fans were left disappointed this week when it was confirmed that Roman Reigns won’t be working the Money in the Bank event.
Reigns was initially advertised for the event, but he was pulled from advertisements, and it was then made official this week, that Reigns won’t be wrestling on the show.
There were rumours that Reigns would be facing Riddle on the show, but this is now off the table.
In relation to SummerSlam, it is expected that Reigns will be working the event. The original rumoured plan for SummerSlam was to see Reigns defend the Undisputed Universal Title against Randy Orton, but it’s unknown if that match is still planned.
Riddle has called out Reigns over the past few weeks on WWE TV, so it seems rather logical to do Reigns v Riddle, and book Reigns v Orton in a post-SummerSlam rivalry.
There are no matches booked for SummerSlam currently, and with the event set to take place next month, we should get a good idea of what WWE has planned over the next few weeks.
