Tony Khan Roasts Reporter Over Statement About Show
AEW All In sells 35000 tickets in its pre-sale today. This makes AEW’s upcoming United Kingdom show the most successful in terms of ticket sales. Nonetheless, not everyone is impressed and AEW President Tony Khan recently blasted a reporter for their statement about the show’s success.
Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online is reporting:
AEW sold more than 35,000 tickets in the Tuesday presale for this August’s All In event at London’s Wembley Stadium, according to our Dave Meltzer. The number guarantees AEW will have their largest-ever attendance and largest-ever gate before a single match is even announced.

The report states tickets go on sale to the general public on 6 May.
Despite the robust sales, ESPN reporter Mike Coppinger didn’t seem impressed, tweeting:
Hearing Wembley is scaled for only 40K for AEW – far cry from last April when I was ringside for Tyson Fury-Dillian Whyte and it was packed to the brim with 94,000. Nothing beats the big-fight feel at Wembley

Tony Khan fired back:
LIES. What a load of crap. Tell your agent Nick Khan to shove it up his ass

Tony Khan added:
Since you carry the credentials of a credible reporter + represent the Worldwide Leader, I'm just curious: who was your source for this, and how can a reporter representing ESPN tweet something about a legit news story that's so blatantly wrong and easily verified as a falsehood?

It will be interesting to see how many tickets AEW makes available for the show come Saturday. Keep in mind that the promotion hasn’t even announced any matches for the show.
