WWE Responding to Potential Attack from Iran
The WWE apparently heightens its Crown Jewel security, a prudent move following yesterday’s report of intelligence suggesting an imminent attack on Saudi Arabia by Iran.
In case you missed WrestleLamia’s discussion of the potential crisis, here’s an excerpt from The Wall Street Journal:
Saudi Arabia has shared intelligence with the U.S. warning of an imminent attack from Iran on targets in the kingdom, putting the American military and others in the Middle East on an elevated alert level, said Saudi and U.S. officials

As WrestleLamia speculated yesterday, there’s no to tell if Iran is posturing or planning an attack. What is known is that the WWE is reportedly going ahead with the show. Mike Johnson of PWInsider is reporting:
In speaking to several at WWE, we are told that the show is set to still go forward and that the company already has security protocols and emergency contingencies in place for any issues. They are hopeful all will be fine.

WWE Heightens Crown Jewel Security
Analysis: The WWE’s “The show must go on” mindset makes the comment “They are hopeful all will be fine” sound ominous. If the WWE believes there is a legitimate threat, they owe it to their wrestlers and the fans in Saudi Arabia to consider postponing the show.
