Low ticket sales have forced the change.
Money in the Bank was set to take place at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas; however, due to low ticket sales the location of the event has officially changed.
The premium live event will now take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter states that WWE expected to sell around 30,000 tickets for the event, but they hadn’t come anywhere close to this.
The event has been advertising Brock Lesnar and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns for the show, but this clearly wasn’t enough to garner much fan interest.
Money in the Bank has been a major event for WWE for the past decade, but it was ambitious for WWE to expect there to be enough interest to be able sell thousands upon thousands of tickets for a stadium show.
If rumours are to be believed, the show is going to feature the standard Money in the Bank matches, plus Reigns defending the Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Riddle.
